The other day I was reading the thought for the day from the Napoleon Hill. He said, “When you take charge of your fate and determine that you will live positively in every aspect of your life — physical and mental… you will receive an extra benefit.” I stopped and had to think about what I had just read. Are we really in charge of “our fate”? Isn’t fate something that just happens to us? I understood “Fate” as being the course of someone’s life or circumstances beyond a person’s control that just happens. But after “take charge of your fate” jumped out at me, I had to ask myself, “Was I doing everything I could to bring the fate I wanted into my life? Can we stop our fate because we are not doing what it takes to bring what our “fate” is upon us?
Since I am such a positive person and some would call me a Pollyanna, I am going to look at “fate” in this instance as something that happens to us in a positive manner.
In order for a us to make sure fate is insured to the utmost benefit in our lives, it is important to make sure to be focused on what it is that we want to happen. For example, if we want to manifest that soul mate, the financial security of the best career ever, or simply the vacation cruise that we have only dreamed of, it is crucial that we believe that it is possible to obtain. We must be very aware of what our thoughts in regards to what it is that we want to manifest be consistent to what we see. If we are constantly having doubts about going on that cruise of a life time, then chances are that is not going to end up our fate. Our fate will continue to be sitting at our desk only dreaming of the cruise instead of actually going on the cruise because of our doubts.
We must decide what it is we want to do and actually see it done. Visualizing is very important in reaching the goals we have for ourselves. Taking time out at least a couple times throughout the day to just sit with the goal that we have decided upon and visualize it being accomplished. It is very important to continue to hold firm with the vision you see. Do not keep changing your mind back and forth because of the worry of not enough money or time to accomplish the goal. It isn’t important how the goal will be brought into fruition. That is for the universe to figure out. As long as you are holding the vision and having faith that it will be accomplished, that is the only thing you need to concern yourself with. Keeping your eyes on the prize even though you do not see it right in front of you is crucial. Visualization is a very important key to manifesting what we want our fate to be. If we are sitting on the couch and only dreaming about what we want as our fate then chances are not very good that we will see it to fruition. We must have the drive to do something about obtaining the fate we want to see in our lives. So fate can be something we can help along with our determination. Keep the vision and be positive. This will ensure our fate turns out better than we can only imagine.
