Heart Break Happens

I got to tell you, for me this year started out rather emotional.  A relationship I worked very hard at, finally ended.  I say finally ended because it had been on the rocks since the inception.  We are both very good people, just with vastly different ways of living life.

For months I had also contemplated moving back to my Tiny House outside of Olympia.  Instead I decided to live in the Big City of Olympia, something I had always wanted to do.  Well fast forward a few months as I embraced city life, I found myself spending more time out in the wilderness of the ocean and forest.  I dreaded going back to my city apartment.  I also noticed that each time I talked about my goals, I would say, “When my lease is up, I am going to move back to my Tiny House.”

One day it dawned on me that I was living in the future of doing something that I could do right now.  The only thing holding me back was the lease I had signed.

After talking to the apartment manager, I discovered they had added an addendum in the contract in case someone wanted out of their lease without paying the big bucks. The amount I needed to get out of my lease was almost the amount of money I had on hand so I jumped.  I gave 20 days notice and started moving out.
During this time I had business trips planned.  Do you know how much work it is to downsize tremendously, move, and travel a couple times for business during a couple week stint? Yikes!

I didn’t realize just how much work it would be.  Not only was I experiencing the physical move but I was shifting in other ways too.  I was going through a grieving process from a lost relationship.  I was trying hard not to beat myself up over what didn’t go as planned.  I went into a dark space to nurture myself.  It was needed so I could get to where I am now.

Here we are Today!  My heart is Full.  I feel the best I have felt in quite awhile. I would not have been able to get to this point if I hadn’t gone through the dark.

Change isn’t easy.  Life brings these moments of ups and downs so we can experience more of our true essence.  Some days it down right sucks but we always get through it.  The peaks and valleys of our experiences help shape who we are.  We are all Groovy! The best thing about all this is we are all on this path together.

Whatever is happening in your life might not be the easiest thing you are going through.  I invite you to be extra gentle with yourself by nurturing that part of you that lives within.  It is that part of you that yearns to grow, to live authentically.  This takes work.  It takes courage.  I know you have it within you to move through your challenges.  So while you go through your day, take a moment to “pat yourself on the back” or wrap your arms around you and say “I Love You!”

It is also important to seek support from those trusted people in your life that will just listen and accept you right here, right now.
Remember you are Awesome!  You are Growing!
You are Healthy!
